The Pentagon will soon issue formal guidance on data tagging and labeling to improve consistency and interoperability across its systems. This initiative aims to support zero-trust and data sharing efforts by creating standard schemas, conducting pilot programs, and delivering a usable framework within the next several months.

DISA pushes multi-partner cloud to prepare for next global conflict.

DISA is fast-tracking its β€œmulti-partner environment” (MPE), a hybrid cloud framework designed to enable the DOD to share information securely and in real time with trusted allies and partners. DOI moves ahead with IT consolidation plan across bureaus.

The DOI is launching a centralized IT support overhaul: instead of multiple bureau-specific helpdesks, employees will now use a single, department-wide helpdesk for Tier 1 and Tier 2 issues, with in-person support based on geographic location, not bureau affiliation. This shakeup follows a broader push to streamline administrative functions and is likely to lead to hundreds of positions being restructured or eliminated.
