NASA's Innovative Advanced Concepts (NIAC) program is funding studies on transformative technologies, including fusion-based spacecraft propulsion and sustainable lunar habitats constructed from lunar glass. These initiatives aim to enable faster interplanetary travel and establish long-term human presence on the Moon.
