Siga Technologies Wins $9 Million DOD TPOXX Contract

Siga Technologies was awarded a $9 million United States Department of Defense Tecovirimat (TPOXX) contract.

TPOXX is an antiviral medication used to treat smallpox. It was approved in U.S. and Canada. In Europe and the United Kingdom, it is also authorized for the treatment of smallpox, monkeypox, cowpox, and complications from vaccinia.

The contract primarily covers oral TPOXX, with a limited amount allocated to intravenous TPOXX.
