Rocket Lab Corporation has completed the acquisition of Motiv Space Systems.
Motiv (recently rebranded as Rocket Lab Robotics) leverages flight-proven Mars heritage and is widely recognized for its multi–degree-of-freedom robotic arms, actuators, and drive electronics. These technologies have powered some of the most ambitious planetary missions to date, including NASA’s Mars Perseverance rover, the CADRE lunar rovers, and high-precision mechanisms that support critical scientific instruments and spacecraft subsystems.
The acquisition positions Rocket Lab among a select group of companies worldwide able to provide fully integrated Mars mission capabilities, encompassing launch services, spacecraft, software, and Mars-proven robotics for both surface and orbital operations.
