GSA expands transactional data reporting to boost procurement transparency.

The GSA is rolling out mandatory Transactional Data Reporting (TDR) across 62 new product and cloud service categories, aiming to increase price transparency and streamline federal purchasing. By FY26, all Special Item Numbers (SINs) will be included, helping contracting officers negotiate better deals while reducing administrative burdens.

White House AI czar pushes private-sector innovation over regulation.

David Sacks, the White House’s AI czar, argues that Washington’s regulatory approach could stifle U.S. innovation in the race against China. Speaking at an AWS summit, he emphasized that out-innovating competitors is key to maintaining global AI leadership.

FAA maintains Boeing 737 MAX production cap amid safety concerns.

The FAA is not budging on Boeing’s production cap of 38 planes per month, citing ongoing safety concerns following a mid-air emergency in early 2024. While Boeing is eager to ramp up production to 42 jets per month, regulators remain cautious.
