POTUS battles time in bid to boost weapons stockpiles.
The W.H.'s plan to rapidly rebuild U.S. munitions stockpiles faces significant hurdles, including limited industrial production capacity, supply chain constraints, and the need for sustained congressional funding. Spy agencies are resisting a W.H. plan to create a master list of spies and espionage threats.
U.S. intelligence agencies are reportedly resisting a W.H. directive to create a centralized master list of known foreign spies and suspected espionage threats, arguing that consolidating highly sensitive information could create an unacceptable security risk. While the ODNI says the database would improve coordination and eliminate duplication, intelligence officials remain divided over who should control it, who should have access, and how it could be protected from compromise.

Astronomers warn that plans to deploy millions of satellites over the coming decades could severely disrupt ground-based astronomy by increasing light pollution, radio interference, and the risk of orbital congestion.
