Chance Maritime Technologies has been awarded a $21.6 million contract by NOAA for the procurement of uncrewed marine systems to be deployed aboard its next generation of charting and mapping vessels. These advanced systems will enhance NOAA’s ability to collect high-quality hydrographic data, supporting its mission to provide critical navigation tools and information.
The investment directly supports the safe and efficient movement of approximately $2.3 trillion in cargo that flows through U.S. ports and harbors each year. By improving mapping accuracy and operational efficiency, NOAA aims to strengthen maritime safety and economic resilience nationwide.
