Army is ready to “move out” now that all funding systems are in alignment for the GMLRS and PAC-3 programs, although it’s unclear how the contract is going to be structured, whether it’ll be a new contract or incumbents will just get more work. DOD’s Task Force Lima will be dipping its toes in the AI sandbox despite lots of chatter for the technology to be overseen and have guiderails put into place. In a recent interview, Lima’s commander discussed CDAO’s “Alpha-I” funding line and portfolio that’s under his supervision. Read more
New DOD commercial space strategy opens door to military, financial protection for contractors.

What threats can hybrid quantum-AI bring?
In a pre-print study done by IBM researchers, it was revealed that the combination of hybrid quantum-classical computing and artificial intelligence could speed up the point at which quantum computers might threaten our current encryption methods.
