
Applied Aerospace and PCX Aerosystems have merged to form Applied Aerospace & Defense, expanding their scale as a supplier of precision hardware and systems for aircraft, rotorcraft, satellites, launch vehicles, and missile defense.
The merger finalized in late November, announced Dec. 3, with terms undisclosed.
The two firms bring complementary capabilities. Applied Aerospace specializes in composite, metallic, and polymer manufacturing, producing launch vehicle nose cones, satellite buses, payload dispensers, aircraft fuselages, and radomes and antennas for ISR platforms.
PCX Aerosystems specializes in advanced metal machining for aircraft, spacecraft, maritime systems, and missiles, including helicopter dynamics, satellite propellant tanks, and propulsion components.
The combined company has 1,300+ employees and facilities spanning nine locations in five states.
