Kratos Defense & Security Solutions secured a $1.45 billion deal from the U.S. Department of Defense to develop hypersonic weapon testing capabilities.
The contract will support the Multi-Service Advanced Capability Hypersonic Test Bed (MACH-TB) program, designed to speed up the development of weapons capable of traveling at speeds over Mach 5, or five times the speed of sound. This is one of the Pentagon's most significant investments in hypersonic testing infrastructure to date.
